Soul Swap
The reason why I chose to do this intervention 3 is to let more people know their inner voices and thoughts so that they can exchange them with each other. First of all, I put a rainbow-colored trigger warning on the wall, not only for the sense of belonging and identity but also because the rainbow is the color of the stakeholders. Because there may be sensitive information in the formal intervention, it is better to remind stakeholders and participants that they can leave at any time if they feel uncomfortable and to make them feel as comfortable as possible.

I will look for a safe and comfortable place, one that is absolutely secure and needs to be exceptionally well hidden, as well as requiring a key and access control to get in, to make my stakeholders feel safe to the maximum extent possible, and I choose a place with sofas so that they can sit comfortably for the event. In addition to this, I had jasmine-scented smokeless aromatherapy, firstly for the safety hazard of fire prevention, and secondly, the reason I didn’t use real flowers in practice was to avoid some people being allergic to them.
Next, I also prepared some fruits that can boost people’s moods, make appointments and relax them. For example, apples, lemons, oranges, avocados, and broccoli. These green plants and fruits and vegetables not only helped to make the participants more relaxed, but also allowed them to take them away if they wanted to, and to prepare some materials for them to create, making sure that the space was big enough for the participants to have more room to play.

For the outcome of the convention, I had a small event called ‘face of repression’ as part of my convention 3 before the official convention, and it was like a small preparing mask event not a workshop before the main intervention so that they can better express themselves and masks can protect their privacy, masks also have a certain practicality and can go well to express their personality, protect stakeholders privacy and feedback.

I start by asking my stakeholders to listen to an audio recording of my own personal experience, I leave them alone in the room and make sure they are not disturbed during the process, if they feel uncomfortable in any way they can leave at any time, after listening to the audio I don’t force them to give me feedback as it takes time, I say to them if you don’t want to share It’s fine if you don’t want to share your story, but if you share your story about yourself it might help more people in need.

For the output of the convention, I might produce a personalized mask ‘face of repression’ and some photographies of the process, I would choose a notebook to collect the feedback and be anonymous so that they can express themselves as they wish and I can also I will choose a notepad to collect the feedbacks and make it anonymous so that they can express themselves as they wish and I can see if my project is of any help to them.

So far, the research project has carried out three interventions. The first intervention was called ‘Yes, And’, which comes from the comedy approach of just agreeing with any question or sentence without dismissing it or doubting it, and after the first intervention, some stakeholders refused to participate in my first intervention. After all, they were afraid of being exposed to the camera. While some experts were optimistic about my idea, some mentors also felt that many people were put off by improvisation and that the first intervention did not manage to get more people involved. The second intervention started with the creation of a Padlet called ‘Rainbow’, which is a safe space for everyone. It is the Mandarin word for rainbow and represents hope and reasonable expectation. This space is a safe zone where everyone can express themselves freely and boldly, as well as stand their ground. If anyone feels uncomfortable, they can leave at any time. Ensuring the privacy and safety of my stakeholders is vital. I set the room to be anonymous and let specific people in. Within the online space, I chose the htp test. this test was chosen because Yu and others (2016) refer to the htp test as an intervention to alleviate anxiety in their study. I will most likely see if it can be used as an intervention for my research subjects. Although in the second intervention people felt safe and comfortable expressing themselves, the presentation effect was not as strong as the first one came.

The third intervention was named the Soul Swap project as an intervention. My decision to adopt this intervention was based on some shortcomings and areas for improvement in the first and second interventions. Firstly, I found a place that was absolutely safe, required a gate that could not be easily accessed, and put a rainbow-colored safety warning on the door, the rainbow was also the color of my stakeholder’s support and I wanted to be vested in the details as well. Because there may be things that cause discomfort during the project, my stakeholders can leave at any time if they feel uncomfortable. Before the official start of the third intervention, I will have a simple interactive event called the creation of a repression mask, which will serve as a warm-up for the third intervention, as part of the third series of interventions, to get to know the stakeholders better and to allow for the exchange of experiences and ideas in complete safety and privacy for the value of the project, when each of us expresses our own experiences and ideas, it becomes more powerful and louder as more and more voices are exchanged and shared. Secondly, for the outcome of the project, not only do I want my stakeholders to be able to express themselves well and to be able to experience and alleviate repression in the project, but the research project will also be able to receive new feedback and further development. For the output of the intervention, I will probably show each person’s ‘mask of repression’ and the recording of the expression, in a photographic go-around. In addition, and more importantly, I also provide some support outside of the project, should they need additional support after participating in the intervention, and the project provides the support they need.

If anyone wants to need any additional support and help I have also provided additional links and agencies and have made sure it is possible to contact them.
